  • We are seeking a dynamic process engineering leader to plan and lead strategic initiatives enabling increased capabilities for operational efficiencies across Microsoft Customer & Partner Solutions (MCAPS) , globally.

    About the MCAPS Strategy & Operations organization :

    We drive the development and execution of the Commercial strategy and field operating model. This includes how the organization benefits customers and partners, enabling MCAPS to support them more effectively, efficiently, and with competitive differentiation. The team builds the connective tissue across MCAPS Leadership and partners across Microsoft to gain alignment and leverage existing capabilities, while empowering our people to be nimble, agile, successful, and thrilled to work for Microsoft.

    About the Director of Process Engineering, SMC & Partner role:

    A key element to a successful strategy is the ability to implement, assess effectiveness and adapt. This Director of Process Engineering, SMC & Partner role in the Commercial Systems & BI team will be accountable for leading the development of effective and efficient operational processes for the SMC and Partner segments of MCAPS. This includes delivering the highly complex processes that cross organizational boundaries and working with teams to identify success metrics and enabling tracking of ROI. You must be capable ofmoving teams from ambiguous goals to concisely engineered processes that are focused on delivering a superior user experience and extraordinary business outcomes.


    • Plan, lead and drive high impact, cross-org projects.

    • Help support longer term strategic initiatives.

    • Ensure we have the right processes and measurements in place to both measure ROI and help set our future direction.

    • Collaborate and partner with segment teams, field sales leaders and operations.

    • Manage communications within and across stakeholders and partners to proactively identify risks and mitigations.

    • Provides increased transparency and integration across all groups.

    • Strives for excellence in project and process-based work, simplifying processes without compromising outcomes.

    • Managing schedules forcollaborating with team members to track milestone deliverables and drive project execution

    • Strategic thinking (long term, preventative risk mitigation) and orchestration of complex support planning


    • 10+ years of relevant business and Program /Project management experience.

    • 5+ yeas of experience and solid understanding of partner sales processes, technologies and platforms specifically involved in co-selling

    • 5+ years managing strong teams, hiring, developing and retaining great talent.

    • Driving process re-engineering and improvement: Designing, building, communicating, and executing highly successful processes atscale

    • Working on multiple projects simultaneously and managing ambiguity

    • Communicating with clarity: Communicating complex, ongoing business data and insights across a large set ofstakeholdersandturning those insights into action.

    • Creating alignment across organizations: Collaborating across different disciplines including finance, marketing, sales, and engineering to align to shared goals.

    • Strategic thinking and influence: Proven track record of identifying organizational opportunities, driving strategy and design, and influencing senior leaders.

    Location/Travel: You may be based anywhere in the United States. You can expect limited global travel, 0 - 25%, contingent upon Covid-19 restrictions.
