We are currently seeking a Facilities Engineer to manage Baxter's manufacturing facilities and utilities systems and ensure compliance with GMP, building codes, health departments and EHS. To strategically develop and manage allocated projects, working closely and maintaining open communication between key stakeholders within Baxter Business units, ensure efficient and effective management of targeted projects and optimal implementation of the strategic business opportunity. In this position you will be reporting to the Engineering Lead based at our Old Toongabbie campus and be responsible for the following;
Optimal operation and performance management of:
Pharmaceutical Water For Injection (WFI) production system and related pre-treatment systems
Compressed Air System including Pharma-grade microbial filtration
Steam generation system
HVAC Systems including those servicing ISO14644 Grade 6, 7 and 8 clean rooms
Effective management and Supervision of contractors, employees and service providers to achieve above within fiscal plans.
Identifying opportunities for continuous improvement of equipment and system level KPIs.
Owning equipment specifications and manage capacity and lifecycle planning.
Ensuring overall services availability in excess of 99% by working with Maintenance Department to design and deploy optimal maintenance program.
Investigate any deviations and perform root cause analysis to ensure continuous risk reduction.
Ensure all of above is delivered while meeting all EHS goals.
Skills and experience
Bachelor of Engineering qualification, preferably in mechanical or chemical engineering
Minimum 5 years' experience in process and/or facilities engineering, preferably in the pharmaceutical or medical device industry
PLC programming experience
Proven leadership skills and people management
Demonstrate a good understanding and knowledge of cGMP principles
Excellent communication, both oral and written, be able to develop SOP, business case etc.
Proactive mindset and ability to work autonomously
Solid PC presentation and data handling/analysis skills - particularly Excel; MS Project; MS Visio
