    The Role

    Proofpoint is looking for a self-starting, results-driven, and highly motivated Enterprise Account Manager, Federal with a solid understanding of selling into the Federal Government, Federal partner/reseller and System Integrator community and specifically with Civilian accounts. Candidates must have a consistent track record of exceeding sales goals and corporate objectives.

    The successful candidate will possess strong business acumen, ability to build a strong business pipeline, deliver sales presentations with customer impact, accurately forecast, and have strong interpersonal skills.

    Your day-to-day

    • Build and develop successful customer relationships through a consultative selling process, targeting Federal Civilian accounts

    • Partner with Sales Engineering team to illustrate the value provided to customers by the Proofpoint people-centric platform

    • Team up with reseller partners, System Integrators and Distributors within the Federal community and ecosystem to develop go-to-market strategies to drive new revenue

    • Prepare responses to customer proposals, build quotes, and develop targeted account plans

    • Submit weekly, monthly, and quarterly forecast commits and deliver against these commits

    • Maintain SFDC hygiene to include comments on opportunity status, next steps and accurate close estimates.

    • Prepare activity and forecast reports as requested

    • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of Proofpoint's competitive positioning in the marketplace

    • Meet or exceed quarterly and annual revenue targets

    What you bring to the team

    • 8+ years successful field sales experience within the Federal Civilian space

    • Background in selling complex software solutions, preferably in the cyber-security space

    • Full understanding of the US Government's acquisition processes and IT budget planning

    • Must have a good understanding of FedRAMP and other unique technical requirements for Federal Government accounts

    • Track record of developing "Trusted Advisor" relationships with customers and developing solutions that exceed customer expectations

    • Excellent Presentation Skills, ability to present to both technically and business focused audiences

    • BA/BS or equivalent preferred

    • Must have strong written and verbal communication skills and be able to clearly and effectively articulate Proofpoint's value

    • Must be organized, detail and process oriented

    • Ability to manage multiple tasks and use good judgment in resolving difficult issues

    • Travel both locally and nationally for Trade Shows, customer visits and Headquarters visits. 25%
