Accountant/Bookkeeper

Description

We are on the lookout for a meticulous Staff Accountant to join our team based in Concord, New Hampshire. The successful candidate will primarily be tasked with maintaining client general ledgers, preparing reports, reconciling cash and credit accounts, and interacting with clients. This role also involves processing payroll for multiple clients, preparing sales tax returns, and ensuring compliance with updates and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Maintain client general ledgers

• Prepare detailed reports and schedules

• Perform reconciliations of cash and credit accounts

• Engage and interact with clients on a regular basis

• Process payroll for multiple clients efficiently

• Prepare and submit sales tax returns

• Ensure compliance with updates and regulations

• Work with different accounting software as well as apps and integration

• Handle multi-state payroll and tax compliance

• Perform various other accounting tasks as required

Skills

• Proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)

• Experience in Bank Reconciliations, General Ledger maintenance, and Journal Entries

• Ability to handle Month End Close processes

• Knowledge of QuickBooks

• Experience in Payroll processing

Requirements

• Proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) processes is essential

• Experience in performing Bank Reconciliations

• Must have in-depth knowledge of General Ledger

• Ability to prepare and record Journal Entries

• Proficiency in using QuickBooks software

• Must have experience in handling Payroll

• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Must adhere to strict confidentiality in all matters of financial records

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
