Accounting Assistant

Description

We are seeking a meticulous and dedicated individual to join our team as an Accounting Assistant in the Hazleton area, Pennsylvania. This role involves assisting with accounting tasks primarily focusing on customer invoicing and understanding how purchasing relates to the accounting side. This position offers a contract to hire employment opportunity.

Responsibilities

• Assist with accounting tasks, focusing on customer invoicing.

• Understand and apply how purchasing relates to the accounting side.

• Handle Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR).

• Analyze and review invoices of parts, understanding how these should be costed.

• Manage and process expense reports.

• Assist in preparing and overseeing budgets.

• Answer phones and ensure customer inquiries are directed to the correct department.

• Maintain a small open floor plan office environment with a team of approximately 6 people.

• Utilize skills in Accounting Functions, Accounts Payable (AP), and reviewing invoices to perform daily tasks effectively.

Requirements

• Proficiency in Accounting Functions

• Experience with Accounts Payable (AP)

• Ability to Review Invoices

• Strong knowledge of basic accounting principles

• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy

• Experience with accounting software
