AutoCAD Drafter

Our client has an immediate opening for a Layout Drafter to join their team. This role will use AutoCAD to layout equipment throughout the manufacturing floor. This would be a great role for an AAS degreed individual who has 1-2 years of experience and is proficient in AutoCAD. It's possible there could be a small amount of work in SolidWorks as well. This is a contract to hire opening! The role is located on-site with the ability for flexibility for life situations that come up.

Job Title: Mechanical Drafter

Location: Maple Grove, MN

Pay Rate: 27-35hr

Key Responsibilities

• Create new and maintain existing 2D and 3D CAD drawings and model databases

• Draft engineering drawings using AutoCAD 2D/3D and SolidWorks 3D

• Generate and maintain process descriptions, process flow diagrams and general arrangement/layout drawings

• Maintain Engineering records, documentation and spreadsheets as required

Requirements

• Associate degree in Drafting/Design (Mechanical Drafting preferred)

• Minimum one year of mechanical drafting experience

• SolidWorks and AutoCAD experience required

• Knowledge and experience with PID and MEP drawing strongly preferred

• Basic knowledge of Manufacturing processes preferred
