    Responsibilities

    The Cloud Automation Engineer is responsible for the design, implementation, and management of systems and data in multiple cloud Environments. The cloud engineer will be experienced in cloud-based technologies with the ability to customize cloud systems to meet the customer's requirements for performance, maintenance, and security.

    • Troubleshoot incidents, identify root cause, fix and document problems, and implement preventive measures.

    • Maintain understanding of advancing cloud capabilities, IT, and mission needs; identify and propose cost and functional efficiency options for collaborative decisions and action.

    • Baseline, monitor, and optimize the use of Cloud resource limits and quotas.

    • Perform general scripting using PowerShell, Python, and/or bash for various requirements.

    • Document system designs and configurations including conceptual, logical, and physical diagrams as well as new environment design documents.

    • Document technical capabilities and solution configurations for both technical and non-technical audiences.

    • Apply technical skills to recommend, implement, support, improve, and operate information protection technologies with limited supervision.

    • Provision, configure and maintain cloud infrastructure.

    • Design cloud infrastructure that is secure, scalable, and highly available on AWS.

    • Work collaboratively with software engineering staff to define infrastructure and deployment requirements.

    • Ensure configuration and compliance with configuration management tools.

    • Administer and troubleshoot systems.

    • Troubleshoot problems across a wide array of services and functional areas.

    • Build and maintain operational tools for deployment, monitoring, and analysis of AWS and Azure infrastructure and systems.

    • Perform infrastructure cost analysis and optimization.

    Here's what you'll need :

    • 4 years of experience operating in IT engineering and a focus on Cloud Engineering.

    • Strong working experience with both AWS and Azure cloud environments

    • Ability to articulate technical solutions to a wide range of difficult problems with various levels of stakeholders.

    • Experience creating technical documentation to include diagrams, both logical and physical

    • Independently determines and develops approach to solutions

    • Proficiency in Python scripting

    • Experience working with ticketing systems (i.e. Jira, ServiceNow, etc)

    • Experience working within classified enterprise networks

    Required IAT Certs

    • One (1) or more of the following: CASP , CISSP, or equivalent

    Required Vendor Cert

    • One (1) or more of the following: AWS, Azure, Cloud , Microsoft, VMWare, Linux , RedHat. If not currently achieved, then must achieve within 6 months of hire

    Clearance Required

    • TS/SCI

    Minimum Years of Experience

    • Four (4) years of hands-on cloud experience

    Preferred

    • Bachelor's Degree

    • Additional Scripting background / capabilities

    • Prior Military Experience
