    CAMPUS SPECIFIC INFORMATION

    The College of Staten Island (CSI) is a City University of New York (CUNY) senior College organized around two academic divisions and three schools, with over 10,000 students. CSI offers a broad range of academic programs in the liberal arts and sciences, and in several professional areas. The College awards associate's, bachelor's, master's and clinical doctoral degrees, and in collaboration with The CUNY Graduate Center, numerous Ph.D. degrees.     The CLT in this position will be responsible for providing technical expertise to faculty and students in all Engineering courses. The CLT will also assist faculty and students in providing technical expertise in research. Reporting to the Chair of the department, the CLT:

    • Provides technical support to students in instructional laboratories in Engineering by setting up experiments and practical learning activities.

    • Manages and maintains inventory of equipment

    • Works with adjunct CLTs and assists with training new staff when necessary.

    • Prepares purchase requisitions for supplies, materials and equipment for Engineering instructional and research laboratories

    • Update, develop and provide general help with the EES website and social media accounts

    • In consultation with EES faculty creates, maintains, and updates displays, posters, brochures, announcements and other promotional materials highlighting the activities of the department

    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

    High School Diploma with a minimum of four years' related experience. Additional education may be used to meet the experience requirement: an Associate degree may be substituted for two years experience, and a Bachelor's degree may be substituted for four years experience.

    OTHER QUALIFICATIONS

    Preferred qualifications include

    • Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering or Engineering Science or related field

    • Lab work experience, including maintenance of equipment and familiarity with safety procedures

    • Experience with MS Office, and maintenance of website and social media feeds

    • Experience working with undergraduate students

    COMPENSATION

    $47,509 - $56,484

    Salary commensurate with education and experience.
