ABOUT THIS POSITION
As a Sales Effectiveness Coach, you will be a key member of the Commercial Enablement and Talent Team. As a team, we empower frontline sellers to exceed their annual plans, foster a high-performance growth culture, and drive long-term value throughout the organization.
In this role, you will partner with sales leaders and your peers in operations and enablement to improve sales outcomes. They accomplish this through training, coaching, and mentoring for new hires and existing sales team members.
You will work closely with our solutions and systems trainers to ensure learning is applied and sales outcomes are achieved. Your role will be a vital part of our overall onboarding process reinforcing selling skills, tools knowledge, and process adherence. You will help to create and implement training programs and coach strategies for both new and existing team members.
You will assess performance, perform needs analysis, and make recommendations on training and coaching plans based on your observations and performance data. You will assist in other trainings and programs as they arise throughout the organization including opportunities to contribute at our annual Sales Kickoff meeting. You will maintain an in-depth and broad knowledge of Waystar KPIs that are critical to go-to-market initiatives and strategies. As a member of the Enablement team, you will also be trained in areas of selling skills, tools, industry knowledge, and our solutions in order to maintain the highest level of effectiveness.
Our successful candidate will have a combination of leadership, experience with sales process and methodology, and the ability to motivate employees of varying seniority. Additionally, the candidate should have hands-on experience in developing others to improve their work quality, productivity, retention, and overall ability to achieve quota.
This position can be remote, but to be successful in the role, our candidate would need to be in the Louisville office 1-2 days per week with additional time based on identified training/coaching opportunities.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
Be a trusted advisor to commercial and growth team members by maintaining knowledge of tools/processes and current progress against goals through continuous monitoring of sales productivity, effectiveness, and quality
Train and motivate sales makers to deliver outstanding results for the organization while driving personal development and growth
Learn the Waystar Way to Sell methodology and process and assist in delivery of sales programs
Ensure new team members have a world-class onboarding experience by reviewing, delivering, and updating new hire tools materials, identifying continuous learning opportunities, and regularly sharing best practices across teams
Assist Director of Commercial Coaching + Effectiveness in Maintaining Waystar Way to Sell curriculum and materials; including learning objectives, presentations, and standard operating procedures
Provide strategic guidance and thought leadership to team members to develop and implement robust innovative execution approaches with frameworks, tools, and processes to ensure value creation
Assist growth team with maintenance of Salesforce tools and technology, including building of specifications, testing/coordination with CRM and IT systems teams, evaluate training material, and tracking compliance
Act as the conduit between Growth team members and Commercial leadership to ensure pipeline quality and alignment with Waystar Way to Sell process; including attending sales pipeline reviews, performing 1:1 coaching sessions, and conducting role-playing activities
Participate in the planning and execution of the annual Waystar Growth Summit

WHAT YOU'LL NEED
Bachelor's Degree
5+ years of Sales / Sales Training Experience
Experience in Lead Generation, Inside Sales, or similar role
Healthcare Business Office / Sales Experience
Project leadership experience with the ability to train others
Ability to coach, train, and engage high performing team to reach team goals
Ability to conduct learning needs assessment
High-performer with track record of creating and implement e?ective sales training strategies in complex selling environments
Experience coaching and leading development plans for individual contributors
Excellent facilitation and training delivery skills with experience leading in-person and virtual sessions
Great business acumen and exceptional strategic thinking skills balanced with operational execution capabilities; demonstrated ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
Creative with strong problem-solving skills, analytical and process mindset, and attention to detail
Strong presentation skills - ability to build persuasive and clear presentations
Ability to self-manage projects and follow-through to completion
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
Ability to learn technical aspects of the commercial tools and Waystar solutions
Ability to work closely with a team as well as independently
Working Knowledge of CRM tools, specifically Salesforce
Knowledge of Hospital or Physician Revenue Cycle
Attend and successfully complete Summit Academy training upon hiring
