Controller

Description

Successful, Delaware manufacturing client is looking to hire a Controller who is familiar with SOX, GAAP, and SEC requirements. In this Controller role, your responsibilities will consist of overseeing the month end close process, developing internal controls, policies and procedures, preparing periodic and yearly financial statements, managing all financial and accounting transactions, assisting with budget preparation, ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, prepare monthly financial forecasts, and reviewing capitalized variances. We are looking for a candidate who improve financial accounting systems, and provide management with the accumulation and consolidation of all financial data necessary for an accurate accounting of consolidated business results.

• Financial Modeling

• Income statement reporting

• Perform financial analysis

• Create financial forecast and annual budget

• Implement applicable accounting policies and procedures

• Cost Reduction/Profit Improvement

• Audit Coordination

• Ad hoc projects as needed

Requirements

The ideal Controller will have a Bachelors degree in Accounting or Finance.

Other requirements for the Controller role include and are not limited to

• 7+ years accounting experience

• 3+ years of management experience

• Manufacturing industry experience highly preferred

• SOX, GAAP, and SEC highly preferred
