    BAE Systems is seeking to hire Pipe Welders to support our Jacksonville Ship Repair facility. The selected candidates will be required to perform the following duties and responsibilities

    Perform GTAW on CUNI, Stainless Steel, Steel and other various material piping systems on board Marine and Commercial Vessels using Butt-weld (with using a backing ring) or Socket Weld fittings. Works under direct supervision. Must be knowledgeable and able to perform and operate a variety of welding machine(s) usage and settings. Assist helping other mechanics with different job task when not actively welding. Accountable for completion of daily work assignments. Monitors working environment for compliance with safety, quality, environmental and respect in the workplace. Able to meet physical requirements of going onboard ships, vessels, barges, transit ladder ways and tanks to perform daily work activities.

    Required Education, Experience, & Skills

    • Highschool Diploma/GED or a minimum of 2 years experience in the Marine Industry.

    • Candidate must be able to perform and pass a restricted GTAW 6G CUNI pipe weld test.Must be able to obtain and maintain DBIDS

    Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills

    Maritime Ship Repair experience a plus.

    Pay Information

    Full-Time Salary Range: $39749 - $72197

    Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
