    Salary Range: $150,900 - $226,300

    The IT Corporate and Technology Applications organization is accountable for all corporate facing systems, including Human Resources, Finance, Legal, Communications, Supply Chain and other corporate technology systems. This organization also supports all Enterprise Technology Systems including MuleSoft API integration technology, Data Lake and ingestion technology, and other enterprise technology capabilities.

    The Director of IT Applications - Corporate and Technology Systems - is accountable for all application delivery inclusive of project delivery, application support and maintenance related to corporate and enterprise technology systems, as well as leadership of the technology team. In this role you will provide strategic technology planning for corporate and enterprise technology systems aligned to the achievement of business outcomes. The Director will deliver software and systems design, development, implementation and support for NiSource, Columbia Gas, and NIPSCO businesses. You will also be responsible for operational excellence across the technology team, including implementing ITIL leading practices, driving measurable continuous improvement, monitoring performance, financial stewardship, and by ensuring adherence to key compliance and regulatory obligations. As the Director you will also develop key business partnerships and delivers value to our stakeholders by identifying and proactively offering innovative technical solutions in support of the achievement of business goals. As needed, you will support and help to drive our agile transformation and other major transformations.

    In this role you will ensure strong collaborative communication with IT teams, stakeholders, and vendor partners. You will foster a collaborative environment to drive quality implementations, system stability, and security. A key focus of this role will be leading practices and quality improvement for both projects and applications support. The Director of IT Applications will maintain up-to-date knowledge of trends and advances in corporate and enterprise related technology and the corporate functional business domains. You will oversee the IT service providers and other vendors delivering services in the technology tower. The Director will provide direction and management to direct reports and the technology team including matrixed reports. Lastly, as the leader of this group you will handle employee relations and staff development for direct reports, develop goals, and manage fiscal activities of the applications tower.

    Your responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:

    • Development of people and positive teaming

    • Ownership of functional domain technology roadmap, in partnership with the other IT towers

    • Active management of the software development life cycle

    • Efficient and effective support for software applications and toolsets

    • Prepare up-to-date, rolling resource plans in alignment with projects pipeline

    • Deliver projects on time and on budget

    • Ensure adherence to Service Level Agreements by service providers and internal team

    • Leadership during Major Business Interruptions and Priority 1 ticket resolution

    • Advance customer satisfaction scores (business partners and end users)

    You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.

    Minimum Qualifications

    • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience

    • 10+ years of experience in IT application technology management and/or equivalent plan/build/run

    • 5+ years of leadership experience

    • 5+ years of experience in technical program management including successful oversight of large, complex projects or programs that cross multiple IT domains inclusive of agile product delivery

    • 5+ years of experience or exposure with corporate business functions and corresponding technologies - Finance, Supply Chain, Legal, Communications, etc.

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Regulated utility experience

    • Experience utilizing the following enterprise technologies Data Lake, API Intergration, Workday, SAP, or equivalent HR and finance technologies

    • ITIL and PMP and/or Agile certification
