    Our Fort Worth, Texas location is part of our Dairy division and creates soups and sauce variations for Kerry customers and brands. We are a fast paced, never a dull moment manufacturing facility that comes together as a team to get the job done.     What will you do?

    The indirect buyer is responsible for the purchase of materials, supplies and equipment as needed for by our Fort Worth manufacturing site.

    Main Responsibilities

    • Purchase of materials; mainly maintenance parts and other miscellaneous (1,500 SKUs).

    • Purchases at lowest cost consistent with approved part and material quality, procurement, and delivery standards.

    • Responsible for completion and negotiation of purchase order flow including order call-off/placement for sundry items, order expediting, writing/typing of purchase orders, signing and issuing according to approved authorization schedule, distribution of purchase orders to vendors/requesting depts, verifying vendor acknowledgment, vendor follow-up, coordinates return, replacement of goods, import coordination, coordinates freight requirements.

    • Maintains purchasing records, utilizing established systems as needed by the purchasing department and other departments.

    • Maintains a list of acceptable vendors updates vendor profile information.

    • Coordination/negotiation, when appropriate, of service contracts including writing/typing of the contract forms, contract review, maintains contract log and/or distribution of contract forms.

    • Confers, consults, interview and negotiates with suppliers to obtain product information and discuss service concerns at site level.

    • Coordinates purchasing information with other Kerry sites during the transfer of products/processes to other facilities.

    • Inventory cycle counts and supporting the Warehouse Manager with other related activities.

    What will you need to be successful?

    • Associate or bachelors degree in a business-related field.

    • Minimum 3 years in a similar position within a food / industry manufacturing setting.

    • Proficient in Microsoft Office and SAP.

    • Experience with COUPA is highly desired.

    • Great analytical skills and comfortable working cross functionally with other teams.

    Compensation Data

    The typical hiring range for this role is $73,758 to $108,755 annually and is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, location, etc. In addition to your pay, Kerry offers benefits such as a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and retirement contribution (all benefits and incentives are subject to eligibility requirements).
