Maintenance Technician

MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN - DIRECT HIRE (NORTH VERNON, IN)

Starting Pay

$27 - $32/hr.

Available Shift

3rd Shift, 10:00 PM - 6:30 AM

Work one Saturday per month

Description:

The position is within a foundry environment. It gets very hot in the summer, but in the winter it is pretty mild. The position will be split up about 75% PMs and 25% reactive maintenance. The job itself is much more mechanical but candidates will need to have electrical knowledge in 3 phase motors, schematics, sensors, and switches. Having PLC knowledge is a nice-to-have for this position, but not required.

Responsibilities:

• Troubleshoot and repair electrical failures from 24VDC-480VAC

• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical failures

• Ability to read and use a multi-meter

• Ability to read schematics such as electrical, hydraulic, as well as mechanical drawings

• Conduct preventative maintenance on manufacturing equipment throughout the plant such as overhead cranes, trolleys, dust collectors, etc.

PM and reactive maintenance includes

• Hydraulics

• Pneumatics

• Gear boxes

• Pumps

• Motors

• Chains ,belts, and shafts

• MIG, TIG, and ARC welding

• Running Conduit, pulling wires, reading schematics, and using a multi-meter

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

Must Haves

• 2 years of Industrial Maintenance experience

• Mechanical Troubleshooting (basic knowledge of hydraulics and pneumatics)

• Electrical Troubleshooting (Ability to use a multi-meter)

Nice to haves

• 5 plus years of Industrial Maintenance experience

• Maintenance experience in a foundry

• PLC experience - Allen Bradley
