The role you'll contribute:

We are currently hiring a Manager of Business Intelligence and Data Architecture with extensive experience in leading program initiatives with the primary responsibility of supporting integrated Healthcare and business data management solutions across the AdventHealth Enterprise. Reporting to the Director of Business Analytics and Data Mining, this role will oversee the design, development, implementation and maintenance of Enterprise-wide Business Intelligence and analytics solutions, which include but are not limited to business process modeling, data modeling, database design, core data architecture and dashboard portal design/development. This role will be responsible for maintaining a thorough understanding of the latest developments surrounding various Business Intelligence/Self-Service Analytical tools as well as Big Data/ Data Warehousing Ecosystems that help to support enhanced business decisions and improve patient outcomes in real time.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Oversee various business workstream initiatives (Consumer Analytics, Care Navigation, Network Integrity, Digital Health, Cost Accounting, Revenue Cycle, Supply Chain Management, Process Optimization, Human Resources, Patient Experience, Regional Analytics Reporting)

• Manage team resources that include but are not limited to Business Intelligence Developers, Business Intelligence Solutions Architects, Database Programmers, and Business Analyst by building project plans, facilitating project kick-off meetings, delegating data discovery/extraction/acquisition tasks, and providing guidance for analytics/user experience (UX) design

• Oversee day to day applications and solution support, maintenance, and data issue resolution

• Translate business requirements into actionable work statements for architects/BI developers with the aim of creating sustainable & scalable solutions.

• Oversee the design and development of ETL/workflow processes by leveraging knowledge of self-service ETL tools (Alteryx, Oracle SQL Developer, Toad) in order coordinate development efforts within the BI reporting tool (QlikVew, QlikSense, Tableau, Alteryx, Ad-hoc reporting)

• Work directly with Data Warehouse and Big Data teams in creating procedures to support project initiatives by providing source content expertise

• Be able to understand, write and translate complicated scripts against multiple databases (Oracle, SQL Server, Hadoop, MySQL, Impala) and provide expert guidance to developers towards the automation/manipulation of extracts in Alteryx or other self-service BI tool

• Leverage all aspects of BI technologies and architecture such as delivery mechanisms (i.e. portals, dashboards, presentations), data model/architecture, data integration/ETL and reporting tool selection

• Coordinates in partnership with the Data Warehouse team to prioritize query optimization and tuning efforts by understanding and leveraging techniques such as reviewing indexes, checking explain plans, performing incremental loadsetc.

• Be able to Design and Develop interactive BI dashboards using Qlikview, Tableau, PowerBI or similar BI tool

• Facilitate best practices of all Enterprise BI tools utilized within the organization by overseeing the creation of technical documentation and policies while overseeing Operations Management procedures (day to day process monitoring)

• Perform end to end data validation/Quality reviews to maintain accuracy of data sets and solutions

• Facilitate and oversee discussions with business vertical owners to identify functional requirements that result in data acquisition tasks/technical requirements for relevant BI applications

• Translate business logic from one system (Excel, SQL, etc) into Alteryx in a quick and accurate manner

• Understanding the star schema and data models in the existing data warehouse and QlikView environment

• Provide ad-hoc data analysis and support to program verticals

Qualifications

The expertise and experiences you'll need to succeed:

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS REQUIRED :

• Advanced knowledge of SQL, database technologies and data warehouse design philosophies

• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite with high proficiency in Excel to analyze data and report results to leadership

• Advanced applications knowledge of all data architectural components (data/information management, technology, ETL, data modeling)

• Strong information technology management hard and soft skills

• Strong analytical, problem solving, and troubleshooting abilities

• Advanced knowledge of self-service analytic/ETL tools (QlikView, Alteryx, Business Objects, Oracle OBIEE)

• Ability to delegate and follow detailed procedures and oversee the accuracy in documentation and data

• Ability to provide direction, instruction, training, strategy and guidance to team members related to project-specific activities with clear and precise communication

• Cerner or EHR applications knowledge (implementation, design, support, reporting)

• Advanced knowledge of common EHR clinical/operational database tables

• Advanced knowledge of business and clinical processes and terminology

KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE PREFERRED:

• Working knowledge of predictive analytics tools such as R, Python or SAS

• Working knowledge of advanced analytical techniques such as optimization process, predictive models and text analytics/ NLP

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

• Masters' degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Business Analytics, mathematics, Healthcare Data Management, Healthcare Informatics or similar analytical field

• Minimum 5 years of related Healthcare Data Management/warehousing/integration experience with Alteryx or similar (Talend, Pentaho) data extraction and manipulation tool

• Minimum 5 years' experience with relevant Business Intelligence tools (QlikView, Business Objects, Tableau, Oracle OBIEE

• Minimum 5 years writing SQL queries against any RDBMS with query optimization

• Minimum 3 years working in a Healthcare Setting

• Minimum 3 years management experience

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE PREFERRED:

• 5 Years of experience in working in Healthcare Analytics with a master's degree

• Experience with Big Data ecosystems/infrastructure (Hadoop, Spark, Cloudera, Impala)
