    Responsibilities

    Facilitates all architectural team functions of the Design Services Section including marketing in-house design services, and selection of planning and committee funded remodel projects to be done in-house. Schedules and oversees architectural services. Assists Section Manager in gathering metrics related to in-house design work costs, for benchmarking and workload management. Professional signs drawings as required. Participates in various phases of individual projects as time allows. Management level position with project/institutional focus. Code and life safety reviews of buildings and documentation, as appropriate. Manages programming and planning services to Project Managers as appropriate. Manages quality review of construction documents created by in-house Project Design Group and external consultants. Oversees specification development and update. Is Architect of Record for specifications. Manages technical support for design and facilities functions, including Project Design Group and Architectural TCC duties. Manages support for Facilities Operations functions. Facilitates Division's efforts related to Reference Standards & Design Guidelines. Supervisory duties as defined by Institution.

    Qualifications

    Minimum 5 year degree from an NAAB-accredited school - Bachelor of Architecture. Masters in Architecture or Business preferred. Required 20 years architectural project experience in a multi- disciplinary Architectural/Engineering environment with 10+ years Mayo experience preferred. Management or supervisory experience required. Proficiency in project management software preferred. Able to handle pressure associated with heavy project load and tight time lines. Excels at verbal and written communications, presentation skills and customer service. Strong interpersonal skills. Responsible for maintaining own personal technical competency associated with leadership assignment. Develops, applies and enforces facilities standards. Responsible for maintaining own personal technical competency associated with leadership assignment. Proficiency in current AutoCAD, Revit and Microsoft Office software required. Develops, applies and enforces facilities standards. Architectural license required. NCARB certification required. Must have a state appropriate license and NCIDQ certification (MN, WI, AZ, FL) as applicable.
