Manual Machinist

Aerotek is looking for manual machinists or highly skilled CNC Machinists ASAP !

Pay will depend on experience, we are opening to training anyone that is interested in getting into manual machining that has cnc machining experience.

Responsibilities:

• We are looking for a dedicated Manual Machinist with at least 3-4 years of experience to join our team. As a Manual Machinist for IPS, you will identify problems and make necessary adjustments as they relate to large industrial hydro dam parts. You will use a variety of manual machine tools and balancing equipment for rotating machinery, while following service center safety procedures. You will need to have excellent attention to detail and an ability to work from drawings, sketches, and blueprints.

Description:

• Operate manual machining tools to include engine lathes, horizontal lathes, milling machines, grinders, drilling machines, and related equipment

• Safely use overhead, gantry cranes, and left trucks, and associate lift rigging

• Perform mechanical measurements using portable mechanical instruments such as dial indicators,

• Micrometers, and portable vibration measurement equipment

• Serving customers across a wide range of industries, including power generation,

• Utilities, water and wastewater, petrochemicals, air separation, oil & gas, metals, mining, paper, aggregates, and cement.
