    Summary

    UES has an opening for a Mid to Senior Environmental Engineer/Geologist/Scientist in our Nashville, TN Office. UES is a nationwide leader in Geotechnical Engineering, Construction Materials Testing and Inspection, Building Code Compliance, Environmental, Occupational Health & Safety, and Building Envelope.

    Responsibilities:

    • Manage environmental projects, including site characterization, due diligence, property transactional services, remedial designs and implementation, and preparation of reports and other related documentation

    • Develop and network with new and existing clients to effectively position for and develop work opportunities

    • Prepare contract proposals and cost estimates.

    • Manage project contracts, staff, budgets, and schedules

    • Perform, analyze and report on specific environmental project tasks under general supervision and research and recommend solutions to technical problems in accordance with accepted scientific/engineering practices and principles

    • Play an active role in the mentorship and development of junior and mid-level staff on environmental projects

    Requirements:

    • B.S. or M.S. Engineering, Scientific Discipline, or related technical field

    • 8-10+ years of environmental consulting experience, with a strong focus on soil and groundwater assessments.

    • Strong oral and written communication and interpersonal skills

    • Demonstrated abilities in leadership, management, and administration

    • Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain strong client relationships

    • Demonstrated ability and willingness to develop business from new and existing clients
