  • Responsibilities

    MOLECULAR PHARMACOLOGY & EXPERIMENTAL THERAPEUTICS (MPET) announces a search for an open rank Faculty member with expertise in the field of cancer molecular pharmacology and a focus on drug design and drug development. Candidates should have knowledge and expertise in drug discovery, compoud modification and characterization, preferably through the application of various computational based methods as well as experimental tools. An ideal candidate would also have expertise in both dry and wet lab programs. The successful candidate will have a primary appointment in the Department of MPET in Rochester, MN.

    The ideal candidate will have a history of NIH-equivalent extramural funding or high potential and strong promise to compete well for meritorious, competitive extramural funding. The recruited individual will also be able to collaborate within MPET, other clinical and basic science departments as well as Centers, including Mayo Comprehensive Cancer Center, Center for Regenerative Medicine and Center for Individualized Medicine across the Mayo Clinic enterprise (i.e., Mayo Clinic Health System, Mayo Clinic sites in Arizona, Minnesota, and Florida). In addition, as a faculty member in MPET, they will be highly encouraged to participate in education, training, and departmental activities.

    Candidates are required to have a M.D., Ph.D. or M.D./Ph.D and a minimum of three years post-doctoral experience.
