    Alaska Regional Hospital is now offering a five (5) week Patient Care Tech training program with continued employment.

    Have you always wanted to work in patient care, in a hospital setting, but haven't known how to get started? We will hire you as an employee, train you in our STAR TECH - Patient Care Tech training program AND help you start your forever career in healthcare caring for our patients!

    *You will attend training Monday-Friday 8 am - 5 pm for 3 weeks, then 2 weeks of clinical orientation - 12 hour shifts 7am-7pm or 7pm-7am.

    Upon completion of training you must be available to work:

    7 am - 7 pm OR 7 pm - 7 am FULL TIME - 3 (12 hour shifts per week) with rotating weekends and holidays

    Responsibilities:

    The STAR TECH also known as Patient Care Technician (PCT) delivers high quality, patient-centered care by performing a variety of delegated basic patient care services related to common nursing functions and activities of daily living.

    Under the supervision of the registered nurse (RN), the PCT assists the nursing staff in providing patient care in accordance with the PCT's skills/training and the needs of the Department, and consistently assists the patient care team with maintaining a clean, well-organized, and safe patient care environment.

    NOTE: An assessment (that takes about 20 minutes to complete) will be automatically sent to you when you have applied for this position (unless you have completed it when applying for a previous similar type position).     Qualifications - External

    • Must be at least 18 years old

    • No Experience Required

    • If you have a current C.N.A. certification you may not be eligible for this position (Please apply for positions labeled Patient Care Tech/PCT).
