  • Description We are offering a contract employment opportunity for a Payroll Accountant in the Wholesale Distribution industry. This role is based in Cleveland, Ohio, and will involve working within a payroll department to manage payroll, tax, and related functions. The successful candidate will be expected to assist with payroll, reconcile work, and audit tasks, as well as handle various accounting software systems.

    Responsibilities

    • Assist with payroll functions to ensure accurate and timely payroll processing

    • Work with accounting software systems such as ADP - Financial Services, ADP Workforce Now, Costpoint, and About Time

    • Handle payroll tax duties to ensure compliance with regulations

    • Reconcile and audit work to ensure accuracy, identify discrepancies, and resolve issues

    • Work with both third-party services and internal teams to optimize payroll processes

    • Use your skills in Accounts Payable (AP) and Auditing to enhance the efficiency and accuracy of the payroll department

    • Utilize Paycom or ADP experience to handle various tasks effectively

    • Assist in the transition from ADP to Paycom, ensuring smooth operations during the transition period

    • Address any potential issues or complications arising from the transition to Paycom

    • Work collaboratively with a team of four in the payroll department to manage and streamline all payroll functions. Requirements - Proficiency in using Accounting Software Systems

    • Familiarity with ADP - Financial Services and ADP Workforce Now

    • Experience with Costpoint and About Time software

    • Comprehensive understanding of Accounting Functions

    • Proficiency in handling Accounts Payable (AP)

    • Prior experience in Auditing

    • Knowledge of Paycom software

    • Experience in the Wholesale Distribution industry

    • Ability to perform payroll accounting tasks efficiently

    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

    • High attention to detail and accuracy in work

    • Ability to handle confidential information responsibly

    • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or relevant field.
