Project Accountant

Description

Cutting Edge development services company is looking to hire an efficient Project Accountant who can budget project cost and maintain project scheduling. This role will be responsible for generating project schedules, processing subcontractor billings, tracking subcontractor and supplier waivers, maintaining supplier documentation, assist with change orders, prepare reports, provide billing structures, and investigate variances. This Project Accountant must have strong knowledge of construction related accounting software, solid communication skills, and excellent time management abilities.

How you will make an impact

• Create and monitor project accounts

• Process subcontractor invoices

• Verify project budgets

• Provide profit analysis reports to management

• Compile monthly project reconciliations

• Audit change orders

• Maintain documentation for compliance

• Project Analysis

• Assist with month/quarter-end process

• Ad hoc projects as requested

Requirements

The ideal Project Accountant will preferably have a Bachelors degree in Accounting/Finance/Business Administration.

Other requirements for the Project Accountant role include and are not limited to

• 2+ years of accounting experience

• Construction accounting a big plus

• Strong Microsoft Excel skills

• Excellent time management and communication skills
