    POSITION PURPOSE

    Performs quality assurance audits on required maintenance and/or services performed on aircraft, parts and appliances.

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES

    • Performs required internal audits per airline certificate's General Maintenance Manual.

    • Performs on-site audits of On-Call Maintenance providers and Contract Maintenance Providers and maintains the approved Vendor Listing.

    • Performs on-site and/or mail-out audits of CFR Part 145 Repair Stations and fuel vendors. Maintains the Approved Vendor Listing for each.

    • Conducts field service investigations when reliability problems arise.

    • Develops reports including audit results, defining severity of results, corrective action and follow-up. Reports trends or concerns to the Manager of Quality Assurance.

    • Participates in E-IOSA internal audits.

    • Reviews audit forms and revises as necessary to maintain compliance with the International Air Transport Association (IATA), GMM, FAA Evaluation Performance Inspection (EPI's), and IATA Operational Safety Audit (IOSA) regulations and Department of Defense (DOD) standards.

    • Checks and approves weekly planning and scheduling.

    • Performs various other duties as assigned.

    REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

    The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability necessary to perform this job.

    EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE.

    o Specialty training beyond high school with at least 1 year of Aviation, Military or similar experience.

    o A high level of attention to detail and the ability to operate independently.

    PREFERRED EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

    Associate's degree (A.A.) or equivalent in Aviation and Airframe and Powerplant license with more than 1 year of experience.

    LANGUAGE SKILLS

    Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.

    REASONING/PROBLEM SOLVING ABILITY

    Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.

    DECISION MAKING

    Makes limited decisions and determines best methods to solve problems by referring to established precedents and policies. Impact of decisions is moderately low.

    PHYSICAL DEMANDS

    o Ability to lift or move up to 50 pounds under 35% of the time.

    TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS

    Ability to travel up to 75% of the time, including overnight and weekend travel
