R&D Laboratory Technician

Pay: $22/ hr

Location: Westlake, Ohio, 44145,

Shift: 7:30am - 5:00pm

Job Description

• Support R&D department which focuses on NPD, cost, quality, supply assurance and operations support for our Battery Group

• Work within the R&D lab environment- testing new products - chemicals & components.

• Perform tests on components/chemicals as per the test plan provided by R&D engineers.

• Follow Standard Operating procedure (SOPs) & JSAs while conducting lab tests. Occasionally working with compressed air, nitrogen and some aerosol products

• Will be performing wet chemistry tests on products.

• Will perform Acid baths.

• Adequately follow safety requirements and policies

• Help to ensure lab equipment and materials are organized and help with drafting of SOP/JSA.

• Data entry and update of the formulation information.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry / Biology or related science with Chemistry coursework. someone with lab experience (use of misc. lab equipment, data recording)

• Experience working within a lab environment

• Proficient with utilizing lab tools and equipment Ability to manage multiple projects at once

• Ability to follow SOP efficiently Strong organizational skills (multi-task) Critical thinking skills Initiative and follow through
