    GENERAL SUMMARY AND PURPOSE:

    Provides pharmaceutical care to customers of Saint Alphonsus Outpatient pharmacies.

    SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

    Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy required. PharmD preferred. Must be licensed by the Idaho State Board of Pharmacy as a Pharmacist Six months of experience preferred.

    This position will provide coverage support for vacations, medical leaves, and other projects that require professional pharmacist support.

    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

    Knows, understands, incorporates, and demonstrates the Organization's Mission, Vision, and Values in behaviors, practices, and decisions. Demonstrates knowledge and skills to competently care for all assigned age groups (Neonate, Child, Adolescent, Adult, Geriatric as applicable).

    Revenue Management: ensures the accuracy of documenting services and supplies provided to the patients. Reviews patient history incorporating various pharmacy activities providing customers with adequate education for optimum outcomes. Prepares pharmaceutical products for patients' use by safe and cost-effective methods using acceptable professional standards.

    Comprehends and supports quality assurance and risk management issues. Participates in various departmental duties, material resource management, clerical and financial responsibilities, safety, and other issues. Supervises technicians and pharmacy support personnel. Excellent communication skills. Basic computer skills. Ability to adapt to institutional roles and schedules.
