Senior Staff Accountant

Description

Robert Half is partnering with a Gettysburg area company to hire a Senior Staff Accountant. The Senior Accountant will support the Accounting team by preparing reports, reconciling accounts, job costing, analysis of financial accounts, processing Payroll in accordance with company policies and procedures and accounting principles. The role is a permanent hire opportunity working on-site.

Responsibilities of the Senior Accountant include

• Responsible for general ledger and account reconciliation.

• Participate in the month-end and annual financial closing process

• Records Insurance allocation entries.

• Responsible for Inventory Analysis.

• Daily review and reconciliation of banking activity.

• Assists with the preparation of departmental budgets, financial reports and special projects as requested.

• Calculates sales commissions and maintains backup.

• Responsible for fixed asset management & Depreciation Entries.

• Performs Payroll duties, posts all JE's & assists HR as appropriate.

• Uploads and reconciles 401k information.

• Reconciles Sales tax between Accounting systems and external systems.

• Responsible for Prepaids and JE's to expense.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, preferred.

• 5+ years of accounting experience, required.
