    Software Quality Assurance Manager

    Work with cutting-edge applications that help advance the mission of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID) as a Software Quality Assurance Manager at GDIT. Our work depends on a Software Quality Assurance Manager joining our team to ensuring the quality and reliability of the software solutions we deliver to enable our client's mission of seeking fundamental knowledge about the nature and behavior of living systems and the application of that knowledge to enhance health, lengthen life, and reduce illness and disability.

    HOW SOFTWARE QUALITY ASSURANCE MANAGER WILL MAKE AN IMPACT

    • Oversee the work of QA team members and provide guidance and training to ensure compliance with QA standards, federal regulations and customer specifications

    • Meet with Project Teams, federal clients and end users to gather and analyze product requirements and functional specifications to develop test plans and the QA test schedule

    • Develop, manage, and execute test plans and test cases based on business requirements and technical specifications

    • Support software quality deliverables and risk management throughout the software development lifecycle process

    • Lead or co-lead the root cause analysis process for software defects

    • Conduct quality data collection, analysis, and interpretation.

    • Participate in Agile software development activities and drive process improvements.

    • Collaborate with other contractor teams as well as engineering leaders, QA engineers and release engineers

    • Participate in pre-production software quality checking, test strategies, test plans, and test cases, test automation strategy and security vulnerability assessment.

    • Create and manage automated tests and oversee all test automation processes for custom developed applications

    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align software QA strategies with business objectives and project plans.

    • Prepare and submit weekly and monthly QA Status Reports to management and Federal Client

    • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of QA practices.

    WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO SUCCEED:

    • Education : BS or equivalent degree in a technical field

    • Experience : 6+ years of experience with 2 or more in a supervisory role

    • Technical skills : Experience with Azure Test Plans, Azure DevOps, Static Analysis tools, Security testing tools, 508 testing

    • Security clearance level : Must be able to obtain an NIH Public Trust

    • Skills and abilities: Able to work with development teams to work across the life-cycle so teams can consistently deliver high-quality software. Able to think systemically about how the software is built to guide those systems to be most effective.

    The likely salary range for this position is $110,500 - $149,500. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
