Splunk Administrator With RHEL

No C2C. W2 only. Must sit onsite in one of the below locations 3 days a week.

Locations: Chandler AZ, Richmond VA, Chicago IL, Atlanta GA, Jacksonville FL

TEKsystems is current looking for a Splunk Engineer that will responsible for managing, expanding, upgrading, automating, and improving performance and sustainability for an enterprise Splunk environment as a hands-on engineer. The candidate will drive implementation using Lean Agile methodology.

Key responsibilities

• The candidate will be responsible for Splunk system architecture, data analytics, performance management, automation and some administration, for the Splunk deployments we manage across the enterprise. Good communication skills are needed to interact with technology and business groups, to gather requirements and deliver the solution.

• Develop and maintain automation tools for CI/CD workflows using Terraform, OpenShift, Bitbucket, and other tools.

• Collaborate with development teams to integrate automation tools into the software development lifecycle.

• Design and implement automation frameworks and processes to optimize software testing and deployment.

• Work with infrastructure teams to ensure automation tools are integrated with the appropriate infrastructure components.

• Identify and address technical issues with automation tools and processes.

• Develop and maintain documentation for automation tools and processes.

Required Skills

Required minimum qualifications

• Well-versed with search head and indexer clustering topology

• Hands-on shell scripting and Linux/Windows system administration experience

• Some expertise in programming languages such as Java, Python and/or Windows scripts

• Thorough knowledge of regular expressions

• Strong debugging and analytical skills

• Good communication skills and tenaciousness to drive vendors, system admins and others to deliver solutions together

• Creative individual with a track record of working on and implementing innovative technology solutions
