Our client is in the restaurant and catering industry and is looking for a permanent Senior Accountant to join a dynamic, innovative team in the Baltimore, Maryland area. As a Senior Accountant, you will be required to perform financial statement preparation and consolidation, account analysis and reconciliations, cash flow analysis, budgets and forecasting, audit preparation, and internal control maintenance and regulatory reporting. We are seeking an individual with strong analytical skills that excels working in a challenging and fast-paced work environment while contributing to the continued success of the company.

Candidates should be self-starters with lots of initiative and the ability to define and drive accounting controls and procedures. You will manage revenue coming from three different sources, handle journal entries, create monthly financials, and present to management and ownership. This is a great opportunity for someone with a strong and energetic personality who wants to join a young company and help drive the success of its accounting and finance department. There is plenty of growth potential as this business is looking to double in size in 2024 and continue growing from there. Requirements Required skills and experience:

• BA/BS in Accounting, CPA credentials are a plus

• 5 years of overall general accounting experience

• Self-starter with efficient time management and organizational skills

• Ability to work in a dynamic and changing environment

• Previous experience in public accounting is highly valued

• Excellent analytical, quantitative and social skills

• High attention to detail and possesses excellent organizational and writing skills

• QuickBooks and ERP system experience, strong Excel skills (Pivot Tables and V Lookups at a minimum)

• Solid understanding of bank reconciliations

• Ability to lead financial presentations

• Account analysis experience

• Proven knowledge of Analyze Financial Statements

• Previous experience working with Accounting close process

• Proficiency in Journal Entry Preparation

• Skills in Accounting Control

• Experience with Variance Analysis
