Sr. Accountant

Description We are offering an exciting opportunity in the healthcare industry in Richardson, Texas. The role is for a Sr. Accountant to join our team in a hospital and social assistance setting. The position involves detailed financial analysis, general ledger management, and financial reporting.

Responsibilities

• Analyze financial information applying accounting principles

• Perform general ledger tasks and financial reporting functions

• Record revenue, payroll, and expense accrual journal entries

• Prepare variance explanations for month-end results

• Create financial presentations for Operations

• Prepare income statement, balance sheet, and cash flow statements

• Conduct ad-hoc financial reporting and analysis to support Operations

• Prepare monthly bank reconciliations

• Maintain balance sheet account reconciliations

• Assist with the preparation of year-end audit support schedules

• Assist with documentation of new business acquisitions and new accounting procedures

• Manage other duties as assigned to support the accounting function. Requirements - Must have a strong background in Account Reconciliation

• Experience in Balance Sheet Reconciliation is required

• Proficiency in Bank Reconciliations is essential

• Must have a solid understanding of General Ledger

• Experience in preparing Journal Entries is required

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is a must

• Must be able to handle Month End Close procedures effectively

• Experience with NetSuite is an advantage

• Proficiency in Oracle is a plus

• Knowledge in SAP is required

• Must have a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field

• Prior experience in a senior accounting role, preferably in the healthcare, hospital, or social assistance industry

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Attention to detail and high level of accuracy

• Strong organizational and time management skills

• Must have a professional and ethical approach to work.
