    Sr Director, External Quality

    This role is responsible for the strategic quality oversight of all external manufacturers and suppliers for Kenvue North America for Skin Health, Self Care and Essentials segments.

    This position reports into the Head, Quality & Compliance North America and is based in Skillman, NJ

    What You Will Do

    The Sr Director, External Quality encompasses the end to end oversight of NA Supplier Quality management for direct and indirect materials and EM Manufacturing and distribution. This role is the highest level of authority within quality operations responsible for the approval of materials and products manufactured externally for the company.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Develops strategies designed to assure compliance of quality systems for Suppliers/External Manufacturing Facilities, Third Party Distribution providers and Direct and Indirect Material Suppliers

    • Develop and Leads quality governance of strategic EM partners to ensure proactive quality assurance to enable limited supply disruption

    • Leads risk based oversight strategies for all external partners for manufacturing, direct and indirect materials and distributors

    • Drive continuous improvement strategies across the network

    • Develops, administers, and controls the department's budget and strategic plans

    • Provide guidance to the team on resolution of Quality issues including supplier and distribution related issues

    • Represents Quality & Compliance on Q&C, external manufacturing, and distribution leadership teams for North America

    • Provides direction, support, analysis and guidance for all Quality operations as well as on critical projects at the regional level. The External Quality leader identifies, prioritizes, establishes, develops, and operates the resources properly to achieve successful strategic business objectives

    • Establishes the objectives of the Quality Department to comply with the Company's objectives

    • Leads 5-7 direct reports

    • Acts in accordance with the principles outlined in the Kenvue values and behaviors inside and outside the company

    Qualifications

    What We Are Looking For

    Required Qualifications

    • BS Degree in Science / Engineering or related discipline

    • Minimum 10-12 years relevant experience in a Quality, R&D or Production environment with a preference for skin care, personal care or cosmetics industries

    • People management and change management experience

    • Experience working within a GMP environment and with FDA or other regulated body

    • Strong management skills and experience in leading other leaders

    • Knowledge of data analytics preferred

    • Excellent knowledge of GMP regulations

    • Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills

    • Excellent communication skills

    • Demonstrated problem solving and decision-making abilities

    • Proven experience in talent development and servant leadership with a measurable track record on people management

    • Ability to travel domestic up to 30% along with potential international travel

    Desired Qualifications

    • Master's and or advanced degree in related field

    The anticipated base pay range for this role is $160,000 to $276,000.
