  • The Supply Chain Conversion Manager is responsible for leading and managing the conversion process of suppliers and products within the supply chain. This role requires strong project management skills, technical knowledge of supply chain processes, and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive successful conversions to enable UVA Health and Supply Chain to achieve its overall strategy, goals, and objectives. Utilizing supply chain operations expertise, project management and process improvement tools and industry-leading standards to train and educate leaders/managers, the Supply Chain Conversion Manager will ensure smooth transitions by coordinating activities, mitigating risks, and optimizing supply chain performance using a Health System approach to lead project teams in implementing supply chain product or process changes to improve operational effectiveness. The Conversion Manager will support and work directly with the Director of Value Management and the Administrator of Supply Chain. This role also requires flexibility, skilled at multitasking, attention to detail, and must be able to work independently to problem solve in real time.

    • Lead and manage the end-to-end conversion process for suppliers and products, ensuring timely and successful implementation.

    • Conduct thorough analysis of supplier capabilities, product specifications, and supply chain requirements to identify potential risks and opportunities.

    • Monitor and track conversion progress, identifying and resolving any issues or bottlenecks that may arise.

    • Coordinate with suppliers to ensure alignment on conversion plans, timelines, and deliverables.

    • Analyze and report on conversion performance metrics, providing insights and recommendations for process improvements.

    • Stay updated on industry trends and best practices related to supply chain conversions, incorporating them into the conversion strategy as appropriate.

    • This strategic role will have a key role in creating the optimized design of the supply chain

    • Results oriented, ensuring on time delivery on commitments while also working to continuously improve processes.

    • Drive inventory optimization and conversion across the organization.

    • Appropriately utilize all resources such as labor force, space, equipment, inventory, and allotted time to meet objectives.

    • Work collaboratively with internal and external teams including Clinicians, Support Services, and leadership throughout UVA Health

    • Maintains good working relationship with all departments by monitoring levels and quality of service provided, maintaining an open line of communications.

    • Strong project management skills for creating and leading implementation plans for projects and initiatives.

    • Strong listening and problem-solving skills and ability to develop plans to improve process efficiency.

    • In concert with the Director, promotes the growth and development of department staff by providing opportunities for in-service education and training, on the job or through other venues.

    • Performs any other duties and tasks as assigned by the Director.

    Position Compensation Range: $76,398.40 - $122,241.60 Annual

    MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

    Education: Bachelor's degree in a relevant field within depth knowledge of Supply Chain Operation required.

    Experience: Five (5) plus years in Supply Chain Operations in a large Health System required. Four (4) years project planning and implementation experience preferred. Proficiency in Supply Chain Database applications and a minimum of ten years' experience in a similar position preferred.

    Licensure: None required.

    PHYSICAL DEMANDS

    This is primarily a sedentary job involving extensive use of desktop computers. The job does occasionally require traveling some distance to attend meetings, and programs.
