When it comes to good customer service, it is important to keep motivation and spirits up, since it can be easy to lose sight of the goal and purpose, and instead focus on the frustration that often comes when dealing with customers. Lets take a look at a few ways that employees can be stimulated and rejuvenated in their positions.

1. Set the example: One of the most important ways to motivates and rejuvenate your team is to set the example yourself by staying motivated and having a high energy attitude that will inject energy into others. Examine your attitude and actions and determine if what you see in your own actions is that which you wish to see in your team. You are being followed either way, the question is, are you leading to desirable ends?

2. Keep it in focus: Stimulated and energizing your team is not a yearly, quarterly or monthly thing, it is something that needs attention constantly. Great leaders will keep an eye on the energy levels and motivation of the team and do what is needed to stimulate a positive energy among them.

3. Set the goals: It is easy for people to fall into a slump, lose energy or lose the focus which is why it is important to always keep the goal in focus. While getting there may be hard, keeping the purpose and reasons before them will help keep up motivation and energy towards reaching the goal. It is especially a good idea to give them periodic updates along the way, so that through the days of battle, they can see the progress to keep motivated to achieve the goal.

4. Show their own: Let your team know what is expected of them, and give them some freedom to use and share their energy with the team. Sometimes it is easy to confine the employees into an unnecessary box or system, stifling their natural talents and energy. Find ways to let them use their talents and passions for the job, and watch the natural energy flow to others around them.

5. Offer a real goal: If the people are challenged to reach a goal, and they have a prize awaiting their success, it can be a tool which will do much in the way of stimulating energy and life in the team. I remember when I worked directly in such a position, that we had monthly goals, and if we met them, we would get things like free lunch, some time off, or other perks that motivated us to push harder. Some bosses have offered odd things or have agreed to do silly or somewhat demeaning fun things for the team if the goals were met. There are many ways to institute some kind of fun and rewarding system that will assist in keeping your team focused, energized and motivated to reach the goal.
