5 Websites That Can Make Your Work Look Better

The internet can hinder productivity by providing constant distractions, but it can also help you make your work better and provide you with useful tools that will help you work smarter, rather than harder.

Believe it or not, there is more to the internet than just Facebook. Here are a few websites that can help you finish a project, make your resume stand out and make your work easier:

Math.com - If you don't have a calculator handy, you can always type a math problem in the Google search bar and find the answer. However, if you need a specialized calculator or want to improve your math skills, Math.com is a great place to do just that. They offer tutorials, math games and a wide selection of calculators and converters that can help you out in a pinch.

Word Reference - If you're looking for a foreign language converter, this is the site for you. It offers 15 different languages and can quickly translate blocks of text. Also, the site can conjugate verbs and is a great resource for helping your kids with their homework.

Wordle - This site is great when you are building a resume or creating a Power Point presentation. It works by allowing you to enter a block of text, and then it arranges the keywords into a word based image. These word images make great cover pages and are great visual aids.

Paperrater.com - I love this site. All you do is put in the text you are working on, answer a few questions about what your project is, and it will check your spelling, grammar and even check for plagiarism. In addition, it keeps statistics about word usage and lets you know how often you use big words and suggest ways that you can make your paper better. You don't have to be writing an essay to use it though, there are many different selections and you can use it as a tool when editing any text.

Paint.com - If you have a photo that needs a little sprucing up, but don't want to buy a huge program like Adobe's Photoshop, Paint.com can help you out. This handy photo editor allows you to do simple things like crop, re-size, flip and perform basic edits. Although it doesn't have all the bells and whistles of Photoshop, it can be a great resource for quick image edits.
