The Nuclear, Waste, and Site Services division is hiring a Manager, Fleet and Auto Services. This position is responsible for planning, directing, managing, coordinating, and supervising the programs for acquisition, assignment, utilization, maintenance, repair, replacement and disposal of fleet vehicles and equipment. Fleet manager also serves as the primary contact concerning the vehicle fleet, equipment fleet, maintenance, and service operations. This position reports to the Site Property Manager. Duties and Responsibilities Responsible for the development and maintenance of the fleet management program plan and associated policies and procedures in accordance with 41 CFR 101-39 and 41 CFR 102-34 requirements. Provides direct supervision typically to professionals, administrative, and skilled trades employees. Functions as advisor to unit and administration and sets goals and objectives for team members for achievement of operational results. Serves in various roles as Service manager and shop foreman. Analyzes and resolves problems. Interprets regulatory requirements and establishes fleet and maintenance program processes and procedures. Demonstrates solid subject matter knowledge and ensures operations are performed safely. Develops an asset technology management plan for sustainably managing, servicing and replacing automobile and equipment resources. Exercises good judgement to determine appropriate action. Supervises staff to assure accountability and positive stewardship of auto and equipment resources in compliance with established goals and objectives. Position Requirements + Ability to obtain and maintain the Illinois Class A/B/C Operator license and complete training as required by the State Fire Marshall. + Experience as an auto mechanic, equipment mechanic or service writer. Experience as an automobile, heavy equipment (e.g., heavy equipment, fork truck, mowers, cranes, etc.) or powered industrial equipment service manager is preferred. + Experience in working and or managing a GSA Fleet. + Experience creating and establishing fleet policies and procedures, from vehicle assignment to replacement cycling, to accident reporting. + Experience in pricing, and purchase or lease vehicles, contracting parts, maintenance, and repair services. + Skill in communication and problem resolution. + Ability to multi-task + Ability to travel. Successful applicants for this position will have a Bachelor's Degree and 4 years' experience or equivalent relevant experience, must provide proof of U.S. citizenship and pass a drug test prior to employment as defined in 10 CFR 707.4.
