Manager, Financial Planning & Analysis - Carmel, Indiana The FP&A Manager plays a key role in providing analytical and business decision support to drive financial forecasts, operating budgets and strategic objectives. This role will work with other finance, business unit and functional leaders to compile and review annual budgets, generate forecasts, analyze trends in business performance, capital activity, and operating expenses and provide internal management reporting. This role will also collaborate with Investor Relations, Treasury, and Financial Reporting to create quarterly earnings presentations, external investor and rating agency presentations, and SEC filings. Reporting to the VP, Financial Reporting & Analysis, this role also frequently interacts with the CFO and other senior leaders. What You Will Do: + Work with regional FP&A teams to coordinate the collection of information required to develop, analyze, and/or modify financial plans, which include forecasts, annual operating plans (AOP) and long-term strategic plans (LRP). + Management reporting and analysis, including preparation of analyses for monthly and quarterly business reviews. Utilize analytical skills in reviewing monthly, quarterly and year end results + Analyze the trends of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) relating to financial metrics and identify the cause of any unexpected variances + Develop tools for early identification of financial variances and make recommendations for resolution of problems. Design, improve and maintain financial systems and models + Prepare analyses and provide support for quarterly earnings releases and calls. + Partner with Investor Relations to support analyst presentations + Partner with Treasury on the planning/forecasting of cash flow + Partner with Business Development teams to support acquisition and divestiture analysis including financial modeling of proposed M&A targets + Act as liaison between Corporate and Regional Business Units - drive collaboration and business insights + Support FP&A team responsibilities, special projects and requests, ad hoc analysis as needed What You Need to Succeed: + Bachelors Degree in Accounting or Finance is required + CPA and/or Masters degree preferred + 5-7 years of accounting or finance experience + Solid understanding of US GAAP and key technical accounting concepts is required + Strong analytical, interpersonal, communication and presentation skills + Sound technical skills in accounting, finance and data analysis + Strong verbal and written communication skills + Work closely with others to build collaborative relationships with all levels of management, many different functions, and be comfortable and effective working with executive leadership + Ability to assess, design, and implement process improvements + Possess excellent organization and time management skills to be able to handle several assignments at one time and work across a matrix organization + Experience with accounting cycles, such as Annual Operating Plan, Long Range Plan, quarterly forecasting, etc. + Accurate appraisal, interpretation, analysis of financial results; development of interpretive reporting (bridges, variance analysis) + Strong accounting system skills including HFM, Hyperion Planning, Excel, and Power Point Why Work for Us?
