    The Manufacturing Engineer will play a pivotal role in supporting a large-scale ERP transformation to Oracle while enhancing manufacturing execution within a highly custom, low-volume 'Creative Solutions' environment. This role involves handling 1-10 piece builds, including pump skid packages, chiller systems, and custom commercial equipment. You will act as a vital link between engineering and manufacturing, ensuring seamless product data flow from Windchill (PLM) into Apriso (MES/MOM) in alignment with Oracle ERP. The ideal candidate will leverage their strong manufacturing fundamentals and system integration experience to drive efficiency, quality, and process standardization.

    Responsibilities

    • Maintain and structure BOMs in Windchill for accurate release into Apriso.

    • Ensure alignment of product and process data across Windchill (PLM), Apriso (MES), and Oracle ERP.

    • Support ERP transformation by mapping data, validating system integration, and resolving gaps.

    • Develop method sheets, work instructions, and standardized work from BOMs.

    • Create and update manufacturing routings, cycle times, and process flows.

    • Design workstations, flow lines, and layouts to optimize efficiency and quality.

    • Identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities related to throughput, weld cells, downtime, and quality.

    • Lead and support root cause analysis, statistical studies, and corrective actions.

    • Improve productivity, equipment performance, and overall manufacturing efficiency.

    • Provide technical guidance on manufacturing processes and product design issues.

    • Maintain manufacturing standards such as process maps, tooling, quality controls, and cycle times.

    • Collaborate with EHS to ensure OSHA-compliant equipment and processes.

    Essential Skills

    • 5+ years of engineering experience in a manufacturing environment.

    • Experience managing an ERP conversion, specifically transitioning to Oracle.

    • Proficiency in PLM systems, particularly Windchill.

    • Aptitude for mechanical and electrical applications related to equipment and processes.

    • Bachelor's degree in engineering preferred, but practical experience, relevant skills, and alignment with leadership principles are highly valued.

    • Experience with AutoCAD, BOMs, routing, and manufacturing process design.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    • HVAC industry experience.

    • Experience with Creo.

    • Familiarity with Apriso (MES System).

    • Project management skills.

    • Experience in process automation.

    Work Environment

    This role requires on-site work from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, collaborating with a team of 12 engineers, primarily Electrical and Mechanical Engineers. You will be responsible for factory implementation, working in a dynamic and engaging environment.

    This is a Contract position based out of Grand Rapids, MI.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $48.00/hr.
