    Our client, a well-established manufacturing company, is looking for a Sales Operations Manager to help optimize their commercial group. This role will manage and evaluate all sales operations activities, processes, and procedures, including forecasting, strategic planning, and business analytics. This is a long-term, direct-hire role with our client located in Portland, Oregon.


    • Build and lead a high-performance team

    • Deliver customer value proposition of quality, consistency, and reliability

    • Identify, collect, track, and measure relevant data in sales operations

    • Own data integrity for the sales team

    • Drive the sales team's use of the ERP while utilizing data to create insightful reports and presentations

    • Meet regularly with designated colleagues in the supply chain, plant operations, and finance to analyze supply chain & demand chain data by customer and product and actual to forecast

    • Help identify trends and assess impacts of current known supply/demand disruptions

    • Supports resolution of customer complaints in cooperation with quality, supply chain, production, engineering, commercial, and administrative teams

    • Lead forecast process improvement projects by product and customer

    • Review, develop and manage customer service agreements and contracts

    • Facilitate a work environment that ensures best practice development and ongoing business process enhancements through continuous improvement initiatives

    • Actively leads and supports troubleshooting, critical thinking, and problem-solving that recognizes operational problems as they surface

    • Supports audits and compliance activities related to Sales Operations

    • Prepares and presents sales reports at the Monthly Business Review to the leadership team


    • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience required

    • 5+ years' progressive experience in B2B sales operations required

    • Experience in B2B sales operations in manufacturing, chemical, and/or semiconductor industries preferred

    • Solid understanding of order management processes and knowledge of production and supply chain activities required

    • Proficiency in using sales operations modules in an ERP system (such as SAP, Dynamics, Oracle, etc.) required

    • Technically savvy and highly capable with MS Office applications, especially Excel, required

    • High attention to detail required

    • Lean/Six Sigma project management training desired

    • Knowledge of business intelligence (BI) applications preferred

    • Strong analytic skills required

    • Excels in advanced thinking, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills

    • Outstanding verbal and written skills, and experience working with staff on all levels
