  • Job Description

    Come join a growing team working on innovative custom SOC designs. The project is in the early (pre-execution) design phase with plenty of opportunities for growth, leadership and technical career development. We are looking for talented individuals to be part of our high performing team in the physical design of highly complex blocks from synthesis/APR through post-layout verification, SOC integration, full-chip electrical verification and tape-in/tape-out.

    In this role your responsibilities may include but are not limited to:

    • Responsible for all aspects of physical design and implementation of custom SOC designs

    • Performs all aspects of the SoC design flow from high level design to synthesis, place and route and clock tree synthesis, timing and power to create a design database that is ready for manufacturing.

    • Multiple Power Domain analysis using standard Power Formats UPF, chip assembly and place and route, timing closure.

    • Craft designs for static timing analysis, power and noise analysis and back-end verification.


    This is an Intel Federal Position.

    Minimum qualifications are required to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.

    Minimum skills and experience:

    Must have a Bachelor's in Computer/Electrical Engineering or related fields with 3+ years of relevant work experience. Or a Master's in the same fields with 1+ years of relevant work experience OR a PhD in the same field with 6+ months of relevant work experience.

    Your experience must be in 1 of the following:

    • Block level design and associated circuit design tools (Synopsys), (such as logic synthesis, place and route, static timing analysis and design closure)

    • SOC integration and chip-level physical design and verification such as formal equivalence, timing, electrical rules, DRC/LVS, Noise and electro-migration checks

    Preferred skills and experience:

    • Physical design project life cycle and a strong commitment to planning and executing to the project's high-level schedule are a must

    • C and scripting languages

    • Exposure to DFX and design for manufacturing

    Working Model

    This role will be eligible for our hybrid work model which allows employees to split their time between working on-site at their assigned Intel site and off-site. In certain circumstances the work model may change to accommodate business needs.
